From 8–19 September 2025, a delegation of 20 officers from the Ministry of Finance, Tanzania visited Kuala Lumpur to attend the Sustainable Accounting & Reporting Programme organised by Open University Malaysia and together with Meteor Learning Sdn Bhd (MLSB).
The programme was delivered at Menara OUM, Kelana Jaya, and enriched by study visits to the Ministry of Finance in Putrajaya, the International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA), Kuala Lumpur Tower, URBANICE Malaysia and CZ Bio. It focused on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices and their role in supporting accountable and responsible financial reporting in the public sector.
Through a mix of expert lectures, case studies, panel discussions and study visits, participants gained practical exposure and deeper insight into sustainability reporting and how it can be applied within Tanzania’s public financial management framework.
